Project Paper Doll {Free Download}

I am so excited to let you in on a little project I have had in my mind since I was asked to participate in Project Run and Play.

I introduce:

The idea behind this doll is simple.  I thought it would be so fun not only to sew the clothes for the outfits each week in the competition, but how fun to dress a paper doll in the same clothes?! So fun, right?!

Just simply download and print out the doll that looks closest to your sweet little one and then keep coming back here each week to pick up the newest outfits that will be sewn for Project Run and Play!

I thought I'd start out with just a simple outfit  you can download to get going with your doll...

Isn't she just the cutest?!
And don't forget to come back Friday to grab your next outfit..YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS IT!

Remember, free downloads are for readers of Kiki Creates only! Did you know I am moving my site soon? Kiki Creates will soon be Kiki and Company...so I am now asking you to "like" my new facebook page, in return for the free downloads. You can find it HERE. Thanks!

and of course, if you love it, PIN it!:)

Easter Paper Tots {free download}

I am so excited to introduce you to a new product today and can't wait to hear how you use them!

Today, I am debuting the first printable in this new set.  I am calling this set "Paper Tots".

Paper Tots are small round paper animals, people, and things to play with, use as cupcake toppers, add to cards,etc. There are so many uses. Over the next few weeks I will be debuting a ton of sets...and each will be available for just 99 cents! (Think animals, people, and my take on some famous movies, etc!) They are so versatile and fun and I wanted EVERYONE to be able to afford them. They will make party planning a snap. Over the next few weeks I will show you a bunch of ideas on how to use them!

Today, though, I wanted to start out by giving you this first set of Paper Tots for FREE (and just in time for Easter).

On Sunday, my paper tots will be out and ready on top of the breakfast muffins my kids will come down to on Easter.

They will just add that extra pop of cute to the spread the Easter Bunny will leave!

But if you are having a big Easter dinner, think of how fun these would be on the kids table..you could use them on their name cards on the table..or just as fun little guys to play with!

Remember, free files are for "likers" of Kiki Creates only...It takes just a second on my sidebar..thanks!

Happy Easter!

do you sketch? {free download}

One of my favorite things to do ever is to sketch. I love grabbing any kind of notebook and my black felt tipped pens and draw away. I love sketching out project ideas, quotes, real life as it is happening and sometimes I just like to doodle.  So many of my projects started out a sketch of some kind (even if it is on an old reciept or a half of a piece of paper). Lately, I have taken up getting actual sketchbooks to drw in and it has been so fun. I picked up a few different ones..all for different reasons.

I love sketching in my Smash journal because there are a variety of papers (and thus backgrounds) and it has brought a new fun side out to my ideas:

Before you say..isn't this a kids book? Technically, yes. (But am I not just a really grown up kid?!):) NO..you would not believe how much fun I am having in these books (I have one other too)! These books have more prompts (most of which I ignore)..but the fun thing about these books is that I am using them to write stories for my kids. About fun and crazy superheroes. They will love going through it when I am done:

And then I have a big, plain sketchbook. I love to open a new fresh page and make the page come to life.  I have obviously been thinking a lot about life lately, so this one came from one of those quick sketch sessions:

Do you use sketchbooks?

I am going to be showing more of my sketches off and on now..I always enjoy looking into the starting stages of someone's creativity!

I made this sketch into two little 5x7 prints. You can find them HERE.

Enjoy more fully the sunlight {free download}

So, what do you do at 3:45 a.m.?  This morning I was awake. Thinking. I could not stop thinking and that equaled no sleep. So I thought I would get up and design a few quotes that I love...because that is what EVERYONE does when they cannot sleep at 3:45 right?!:)

 I was awake worrying. I worry about the world. Funny thing to be worried about at 3:45 in the morning, right?! I also worry about my kids growing up in the world. I want them to be aware of the problems in the world and to work hard in what ever ways they can to alleviate some of them. I want them to DO good because it is right and to leave the world better than they came.  I also want them to know what an amazing world we live in, despite the awful things that do happen.  I want them to be optimistic.  And it all starts with us, right?!  Am I the kind of parent and person who sees the good..who seeks the sunshine through the clouds? It was a good morning to reflect and these quotes gave me a good perspective.

I loved this sweet one and will admit fully I have quite a few of these to work on:

I adore this next quote and can totally relate to it. This morning early, I was WORRIED, but as I went out on my run this morning and breathed in the fresh morning air and had a few moments to think and reflect, I am once again determined to be positive and optimistic about everything..I will look at life with this attitude:

There is too much good we can each do each day..small and big things, but it requires us to DO. So I am headed off to "do" today. What will you DO today?

Remember, free downloads are for "likers" of my facebook page only. (Takes just a second on my sidebar, thanks!)

Bottlecap Necklaces {tutorial and free download}

A few days ago, my daughter's best friend turned the all important age of 3.  My little girl has been going around the house for weeks now saying that Jemma is her best friend, so I knew exactly what we should do for her present.

 Here it is all wrapped up ready to go:

And on the inside? A sweet gift from my daughter to her...
Perfect for best friends, right?!

While I was designing up the little 1" circle designs, I figured I'd make a few for me too.  I mean, really, who doesn't need a little reminder each day:

And I have a son who was just baptized and this made a perfect addition to his new scripture bag!

Would you like some too?

To make a bottlecap necklace, you simply need:
bottle caps and epoxy stickers...here is an example
a necklace chain (you can find these at any craft stores)
hot glue
and
this fun download

Simply print and cut out the circles. (A 1" circle punch works perfectly). Adhere the epoxy sticker on the paper design. Place a small amount of hot glue on the paper back and push it right down into the bottle cap.  Place it on the necklace (or key chain, zipper pull, etc.) You are done! So simple, right?!

Now go and find the perfect someone to give them to.
