Easter Paper Tots {free download}

I am so excited to introduce you to a new product today and can't wait to hear how you use them!

Today, I am debuting the first printable in this new set.  I am calling this set "Paper Tots".

Paper Tots are small round paper animals, people, and things to play with, use as cupcake toppers, add to cards, etc. There are so many uses. Over the next few weeks I will be debuting a ton of sets...and each will be available for just 99 cents! (Think animals, people, and my take on some famous movies, etc!) They are so versatile and fun and I wanted EVERYONE to be able to afford them. They will make party planning a snap. Over the next few weeks I will show you a bunch of ideas on how to use them!

Today, though, I wanted to start out by giving you this first set of Paper Tots for FREE (and just in time for Easter).

On Sunday, my paper tots will be out and ready on top of the breakfast muffins my kids will come down to on Easter.

They will just add that extra pop of cute to the spread the Easter Bunny will leave!

But if you are having a big Easter dinner, think of how fun these would be on the kids table..you could use them on their name cards on the table..or just as fun little guys to play with!

Remember, free files are for "likers" of Kiki Creates only...It takes just a second on my sidebar..thanks!

Happy Easter!

the easter dress.

I have been getting the magazine Chasing Fireflies for a few years now. They have amazing toys and costumes for kids. But I drool over their dresses. Seriously.  I love so many of them so much.  They seem to get whimsy and gorgeous and delicate and 100% girl all in the the same dress, everytime!  So when I saw this dress, I swooned once again:

I love the bow, the detail on the back, the ribbon tie ups in the back. But not for $98.

SO I decided to try it for my daughter's Easter dress.  I can't say that all of my creations turn out..but I was so happy with this one...
I just picked up 1 1/2 yards of fabric, measured and cut and measured again, until I got it just how I wanted it. I changed a few things..I love how I wrapped the fabric around the body and ended with a little bow.  So sweet.
She was pretty happy about the whole thing, and so was I...especially the $12 price tag.  Not too shabby!

And of course we HAD to let her climb stairs...
because look at that ruffle bum!
Doing this has made me want to try it more often!  Hmmm...which one next...

1 more follower and we will have a giveaway! YAY!

easter baskets...check!

Life has been so busy the last few days, which has been so fun, but so CRAZY. I had almost talked myself into going to buy easter baskets, but then the boys kept asking for their chicken and bunny, so I sat myself down last night to get them done.

They turned out really cute.  Felt is so easy to work with and because there are so many colors it just makes it so great.  Take a look:

And of course Maizie HAD to have one too....

I guess the tradition lives on.  Now onto the Easter outfits!

Easter Baskets

I have a love of creating easter baskets for my kids..my mom always made them for us too.  Here are a few from the last 2 years:

I think the thing I love more than saving money by making them, is that I get to personalize them to their likes and tastes.
Booker LOVED the Buckeyes when we were in Ohio, thus the Buckeye bunny.
At this point, Lincoln just loved animals..
and could you guess that they both LOVED pirates as well..:) they were a bit obsessed for awhile!
The next year, Lincoln thought he was BOLT.  No, really he did..so this only made sense:
And Booker dressed up as Alvin only 6 out of 7 days of the week:

can't wait to make 3 this year!:)
