For some of my smaller items this week for Yellow Box Week, I will be putting them in these sweet pillow boxes:
The thing I love about embellishing is that you can make each box completely different, even though you started with the exact same box!
Take this circle design box for example...on this one I simply added a thin piece of felt to wrap around it, and added some rolled felt flowers..simple and cute:
Whereas, on this one, I took some small circles I punched with a regular paper punch and glued them on each of the intersecting points of the circles..and with the same felt as above, made a fun flower, but the look is completely different!
This yellow chevron designed pillow box is a perfect base for SO many fun projects..here I made it a bit monochromatic with all the yellow butterflies, but broke it up a bit with the white paper wrap. Perfect for a sweet little girl!
And lastly, I took the same box and simply tied some embroidery thread around it, secured a little pom pom I made and added a little washi tape flag to a stick to put on it..simple and whimsical!

Has anyone found or thought of someone who could use a little cheer this week?
