Dresser Makeover

I am completely redecorating my daughter's room right now..(and then the boys)..it is giving me some good projects to keep me busy and not think about being really pregnant. We looked for a few weeks at garage sales for a good old wood dresser and lucked out finding one for $15!

I didn't get the before pictures, but imagine honey wood finish with lots of scratches and marks on it, but otherwise in great condition.

And now the finished pictures:
I simply sanded the dresser and primed, then spray painted with a flat spray paint and finished with a semi-gloss poly. I sanded a lot in between each stage and just lightly sanded the edges of everything...and it turned out just as I imagined!
I wanted to give my little girl a visual feast for knobs so I hunted through Jo-Ann's, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and Pier One to find discounted knobs (none of these were over $2 and most were around $1!). As you can see, most of these holes were for handles before..I just wanted to try something a little different.

I love the look it gave it and love how it lent to my white with ALL color scheme (is there such a thing!).:)

Piece by piece it is coming together..and has been really fun to do! Anything fun you are working on?
